Center and Washington streets block prep for Sears Roebuck project
A motor digger operates on the northeast corner lot once housing the Music Hall block. Workers remove logs up to two and a half feet in diameter while pumping water from the site. Two small north end buildings were moved. one will be a dwelling and the other a shoe repair shop. The finished building will house Sears Roebuck & Co and the First National Stores. Judge Arthur J. Dunton reported the moves and slight shifts in placement Friday.

Trial date set for Joss murder case in Sagadahoc

Leaps to death from bridge near Brunswick

Excavating Near Bath Tron Works Office Site Draws Crowds
At the southeast corner of Union and Washington streets in Bath, F W Cunningham & Sons of Portland are excavating for the Bath Tron Works office. The 170 by 50 foot lot is being dug to 30 feet with blastings to remove a ledge. The brick and steel building will be two stories at the front and three at the rear with a basement and sub basement after three nearby homes are razed.
