Yacht Halonia Trials Off Coast After Bath Plant Build
Yacht Halonia built by Bath Iron Works for Charles Thorne of Chicago and Pasadena sailed from Fort Popham Saturday for sea trials off the Kennebec. Capt. Charles A. Blair commanded the 148 foot craft as it tested steering and anchor gear and logged better than 13 knots on a Rockland course.

Larceny charge in Bath case over 300 Sav age rifle
C H Worcester of Mexico was arraigned in municipal court on a larceny charge for a 300 Sav age rifle taken from W C Ward of Bath on June 25 1930. He pleaded not guilty was found guilty and fined 25 plus 29 costs or 90 days in Auburn jail. Worcester said he borrowed the gun for a day and could not pay the balance. He had served 60 days in Oxford county jail awaiting superior court. Sheriff Henderson transported him from Rumford and he will serve the jail term. Officers of Genesta chapter OES reported a Portland session memorial by Frieda Bagdikian and presented an altar cloth from Dr and Mrs Paul G Bagdikian.

Box Factory Employes Injured In Crash At Bath
Henry Harford of 43 High Street and Arthur Williams of Winnegance, both Bath Box Co. workers, were injured when the Ford sedan they rode in failed to turn into High Street and crashed into trees and a telephone pole. Harford suffered a severe arm cut requiring hospital operation. Williams was briefly knocked unconscious but returned to work.
