A large audience of teachers and Parent-Teacher members attended a city council session to avert closing a school and cutting staff. The finance committee proposed an overlay of up to 5000 dollars if teachers defer 10 percent of unpaid salaries from June 1 1932. Teachers later approved the measure 44 to 17.
