A submarine telephone cable between Bath and Woolwich failed at 1 30 a m Friday causing over 100 subscribers in Woolwich and Georgetown to lose service. A diver located the fault and repairs by raising the cable from the river bed are expected soon with temporary service rerouted via other lines.
