Caution for Motorists in New Territories and Road Advice
Motorists should prepare for unfamiliar roads and conditions when traveling to new areas. Tips cover steep grades using reverse gear, keeping to the right on ascents, braking techniques, and engine resistance. Sandy and muddy roads require special measures including burlap or boards, deflating tires, and avoiding spinning wheels. Research road conditions via local clubs and road books, as reports may be outdated.
