New Phippsburg Road Opens to Traffic
Travel is now allowed over a new State aid road at Phippsburg Center built east of the old highway near the crossroads. It eliminates a curve and provides a straight run to the Small Point road. Brunswick Man Killed When Trolley Hits Auto
Everett W. Footman, motorman, and Leo Morin, messenger, were operating a freight trolley that collided with a car driven by a Brunswick man named Miller. Miller died at the scene in heavy morning fog as the two-car train, loaded with coal, approached from Bath toward Brunswick and Lewiston. Miller’s wife Helen and a 21-year-old son survived. neighbor Maurice McCrater rushed to aid after the crash as officials opened an inquiry into the fatal accident.
