New Pumper Desired to Replace Engine 4
Bath city faces buying a new pumper this summer after an expert declared Engine 4, 16 years old, has outlived its usefulness. Reconditioning was estimated at 1500 dollars and would still leave a 16 year old machine. Engine 4’s motor has been rebored twice and cannot endure a third bore. A new pumper likely follows, with the city’s earlier July meeting issuing equipment payments over several years as a precursor.
