Eugene Harley 12 son of Mrs Dorothy Vaughan of 133 Oak Street injured Wednesday afternoon on High Street when his bicycle brakes failed and he was thrown from the bike onto a picket fence after attempting to stop for an approaching car. He was rushed to Bath Memorial hospital for X rays.
Miss Ann Fullerton celebrated her fifth birthday Monday at home with a party at 54 Mechanic Street. Guests Andrea Curran William Curran Sarah Green Karen Hanna Sylvia Henrikson Marie Henrikson and Sharron Hooker attended. gifts were opened, games played, and refreshments served.
Mr and Mrs Fred Hill and son Frederic of Kearny New Jersey returned home after a ten day stay in Bath where they visited Mrs Albert E Testonia of 173 Oak street. Mrs HI N was Miss Bernice Rodick before her marriage and in Bath she reconnected with relatives and old friends.

Mr and Mrs Donald and Doris stayed with Arthur Haggett on Maxwell street while Barbara Lee and Carolyn Jean were guests of Bernice Burns on Washington street.

The first Summer picnic of the Inner Wheel was hosted by Mrs. John Parker at her Sebasco Summer home. Nineteen members and two guests attended, welcoming new member Mrs. Atwood O. About 100 members of the U S S McCain crew and their families spent a day at Reid State Park near Bath. They traveled by car, picnicked, swam in the lagoon and bath houses, and bought seafood and drinks at the concession. A shower sent the group to their cars, but they returned to enjoy the afternoon until dusk.
Bath police responded to a caller asking officers to drive loose bulls from a garden. Sgt Edward Gaudreau noted the odd request and sent two officers to Lower Washington Street. Bulls were found roaming the garden, but the owner retrieved and herded them back to pasture.

In Bath the Inde t receives cash in lieu of appreciation for the Drum and Bugle Corps and the Pace group as the first revived musical act since officials planned to destroy the park bandstand. The American Legion restored patriotic music, praising the corps and majorettes for their parade work in front of City Hall.
Myrtle Lodge of Odd Ladies held its final meeting of the season with Past Noble Grand Gertrude Stewart presiding in absence of Lillias Larrabee. Supper was served by Mrs. Pearl Campbell. Plans announced for United Order field day at Reid State Park with a chartered bus from Portland to Bath.
West Boxford residents Mr and Mrs Clayton Nelson visit their Sabino cottage for the weekend. Mrs Everett G Lemont occupies her Sabino cottage for July with niece and family. Guests include Mr and Mrs Ralph Card and daughter Janice. Scarsdale couple Mr and Mrs Charles H Bates Jr return home after weekend at Harold Bates cottage. Ernest Gutermann and family end vacation at Dean cottage. guests Mr and Mrs Arthur LaGrange and sons. Pamela Litchfield and Colleen O'Donnell visit Sabino with Janice Card's guests. Nurse Helen Bonney stays at Hyde Windlass camp with Clyde Lake. Joe Liebes arrives for two weeks. Carol Wilson visits Albert Larrabee's cottage. Arthur Harris and wife from New York City stay two weeks at their cottage formerly the Doble.
A youth drum and bugle corps made a lively first appearance in Bath drawing hundreds of spectators Friday night and Saturday along the parade route. Funds are being sought to buy uniforms and instruments, with Legion members leading the drive and instructors assisting. The Marine Band performed nearby, heightening community interest.
Executive Board of the Sagadahoc County Women's Republican Club met at Mrs Lill Ian Register of Probate's home on Wednesday last week. The gathering aimed to fund campaign needs with a $1 000 sale and a cooked foods sale. Ruth Leavitt of Woolwich was named club chairman for the dinner, joining chairmen from all clubs on the committee.
