Fifty Year Old Iron Horse Puffs at Sesqui Exposition
The Baltimore locomotive, once the largest passenger engine fifty years ago, now stands beside Baldwin Locomotive Works’ modern giant at the Sesqui Centennial International Exposition in Philadelphia. Once a star at the 1876 Centennial, it now appears as a pitiful relic next to 1926 era giants, though it still drew attention for its slow clatter and prize-winning past.
