Meteorite suspected as space rock found near Lubee farms
Judge John J. Keegan of the municipal court possesses a round metallic object the size of a baseball unearthed by Thomas F. Keegan Jr on the Keegan farms at Lubee. It was initially thought to be a cannonball but surface pitting and reddish glow suggest a meteorite. If confirmed, it would be a rare large specimen.
