J Houghton McLellan former Bath resident serves as president of the newly organized New England chapter of the Steamship History Society of America. The group met at the Seaman's Friend Society rooms on Hanover Street Boston to hear a talk on the first successful steamboat, forerunner of Fultons Clermont.
