Morse High edges Deering as Capt Small shines on track
Captain Raymond Small led Morse High to a win over Deering with 11 points in a dual meet Friday night. Richard Williamson of Deering followed with 9. Small swept first in the 24 yard dash and the 600 yard run and also placed third in the high jump, narrowly losing the 600 to Pelton of Deering. The Morse team showed depth with at least one fast flyer in every running event. Miss Katherine Costain visited Augusta for a few days with Mrs. Victor Bowman and Miss Gladys Austin.
