The January term of the Supreme Judicial Court for Sagadahoc County convened with unusual attendance. Justice George M. Hanson presided as Grand and Traverse juries were formed. The Grant case from Bowdoinham, a trespass suit by Dr. H. D. Grant against R. H. Jack, opened with exhibits including masquerade articles. Allen Destroyer Delivered to Navy and Commissioned
The Allen torpedo boat destroyer built by Bath Iron Works was delivered to the Charlestown Navy Yard Tuesday at four o clock and immediately commissioned under Lt. Cmdr. Samuel W. Bryant. The voyage from Bath to Charlestown was slow due to ice with Seguin clearing the channel. The crew reported a pleasant trip and Bath-built ships were noted for their finish. The delivery came six days ahead of contract.

Legal settlement reached in hay press injury case
A personal injury suit involving Amable Bernier Canada Emil Chas. Kleeman Germany Harry Ar rentsam Russia Carl Victor Bro den Sweden and Harry Smith of Bath against Alfred S. Leighton Webster Plantation was settled out of court. Numerous witnesses including ladies and gentlemen from Bowdoinham attended the sessions Wednesday morning and afternoon.
Wrecked Fannie Palmer Crew Rescued by Cretic in Atlantic Voyage
Passengers on the White Star steamship Cretic arriving in Boston from the Mediterranean include the crew of the Boston schooner Fannie Palmer abandoned at sea December 6 bound from Newport News to Cartagena with 3100 tons of coal for the Spanish Government. Captain Willey fought to save the vessel through a hurricane before abandonment. the crew was saved and landed at Gibraltar, then boarded the Cretic home with aid from the American consul.
