Bowdoinham Alumni Meet with Banquet and Speech Festivities
Bowdoinham High School alumni gathered at the grange hall for a banquet and a nine o'clock entertainment. Rev. Arthur Patten of Torrington spoke, Arthur Staples of the Lewiston Journal gave an address, Mrs. Lottie Davis of Massachusetts sang, and an town youth orchestra provided music. Dozens from Maine and Massachusetts attended. Officers were elected at the association meeting, with several members listed as attendees and visitors from nearby towns.

Exploding Tube Injures Cothran in Shed Incident
J Fred Cothran of 2 Pleasant Avenue suffered severe hand injuries and facial lacerations after a carbon fitting on a copper tube in his shed exploded Tuesday night. He believes a long stored tube may have contained dynamite. He returned home bleeding from numerous cuts and the thumb and middle finger were severely damaged. A physician treated the wounds Wednesday morning.
