Survivors include a son Granville Berry of Dallas at whose home she died.

Death of Chester B. Horne, Coast Guard man at Portland
Chester Berry Horne, 26, died at the Marine hospital in Portland from sleeping sickness after serving two years in the Coast Guard and most recently at the Portland harbor lightship. He was born in Frankfort, son of Harry L. and Edith Berry Horne of Bath, survived by his widow Laura married last September, and his parents. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Georgetown with a guard detail from the Algonquin. Numerous attendees came from Bath and Georgetown.

The 89 foot duraluminium mast built at Bath Iron Works for Robert W. Johnson of New York City and his yawl Crood News was rail shipped Saturday to Pelham Manor New York to be fitted to the yacht Good News for a Miami Nassau race entry. Railroad inspectors approved the shipment after loading on flat cars. the mast will join three cars on the Brunswick main line. Sally the St Bernard, aged 181 pounds and known for mobility in mail transport, has died. She had served the Oquessoe station route to the post office for two years and belonged to Chiff Hill. The loss is mourned by Summer visitors and many in the community.
