Sale talks hover over Steamer Virginia assets
Capt A P Greenleaf of Boothbay Harbor, general manager of the Samoset Steamboat Co., met with directors and stockholders to discuss an interview with Capt H W Robinson of Melrose over a possible sale of assets. No agreement was reached though stockholders favor keeping Bath to Boothbay Harbor service for 1928 and 1929. They value continuity of the line and mail contract, not dividends from the Virginia. If sold, terms aim to continue the line and honor the mail contract for three more seasons June 15 to Oct 15 each year.
