Bath shipyard eyes larger vessels amid land gains
The Iron Works acquired five adjoining acres west of the shipyard fronting Washington street, expanding the yard about 735 feet toward the river. The option suggests room for a 700 foot craft and potential to install two more sets of ways without moving major buildings. If needed northern additions could shift the welding shop.
