Religious and Moral Education course starts at Gardiner High

Burglary at Burnham's Auto Supply prompts police search
Burnham's Auto Supply at 94 Front street was broken into Friday night or Saturday morning. About $5 was taken from the cash drawer, with $3 in ten cent pieces and $2 in nickels. A rear window was broken to gain entry. Police entertain a major suspect. City Marshal Butler said they expect to detain at least one person for questioning. A LaSalle sedan owned by George Poulos of Liberty Bottling Co. was stolen Friday evening, found later abandoned on Water street after crashing into a pole. Boxing Returns to Bath After 18 Month Gap
Boxing resumes in Bath next Friday with Lou Cooper Maine heavyweight champion facing Mickey Mann of New Bedford and Danny Needham of Bath meeting Bobby Martin of Providence in a double main bout. Promoter Nick Mihalos converted the old Armory hall in Sagadahock Block into a boxing arena for over 500 fans with a new 18 foot ring. Tickets went on sale Monday as the show marks the first Bath boxing event under Maine Boxing Commission rules since last July.
