Maine Elks Association president Brian M. Jewett of Woolwich was honored with a large homecoming reception at Bath Lodge. Dignitaries from Rumford Portland Lewiston Old Orchard Gardiner and Millinocket attended with their wives. Telegrams of regrets due to a storm arrived from across the state as committees hosted cocktails smorgasbord and entertainment at City Hall auditorium and the home of Jewett at Day's Ferry.
