John Seymour Koughan died at City hospital after a week long bout with bronchial pneumonia. A ship carpenter at Kelley Spear Co. yard, he was born in Canada and lived in Bath 30 years. Survived by widow three sons Charles Ir of Brooklyn Daniel F US Navy Lieut Paul J Koughan Camp Lewis Washington and one daughter Mrs W H McGlinchy. Funeral awaits Lieut Koughan’s return from the West.

Harold L Farnham age 31 died Friday from heart trouble after a brief influenza illness. The body was sent to West Brooksville for burial. He and his family had moved from West Brooksville to North Bath, where he worked at the Texas yard. He leaves a critically ill wife and two young daughters.

Mrs Marie Reed Card of Bowdoinham Ridge died Sunday morning after a two day illness. She leaves a husband J Pearl Card and three sons Frank P Card in the naval reserves at Boston Albert M Card of Bowdoin medical college class of 1919 and Ernest H Card at home. Her mother Elizabeth Houdlette and brother William Houdlette of Dresden survive. Funeral Thursday at 1 p m at her home Rev Dr Staples officiated with music by friends. Bearers were Marshall White Leander Small William S S Given and A Grant Hulse. Relatives from out of town included Houdlette and Card family members.

Bath housing division of the Emergency Fleet Corporation completed 65 brick houses for 116 families between Aug 17 and Dec 7 using 3,000,000 bricks and 4,392 feet of sewer pipe. The 68 houses planned will serve 122 families with modern amenities as contractors like A. P. Soule & Son speed prefabricated urban workers housing.
