Christmas Rush Burdens Bath Postal Workers
Christmas creates long hours for Bath postal workers who handle vast parcels and millions of cards. In eight peak days, the Bath post office processed about 2,400 sacks of parcel post and 700,000 cards and magazines, with routes split into four city sections. The city hires extra trucks and "Christmas help" to sustain deliveries, including last minute packages for Christmas morning.
