The Kennebec Historical Society presents a large mounted birds collection to Cony High. The birds, many well known species, were exhibited in the Lithgow Library Children's Room and will be used in connection with the biology department at Cony.

Morse Minstrels Delight Morse Audience With Peppy Show
Morse high school pupils closed term with a minstrel show under Morse high band and orchestra. Director John Grindell rewarded for a hit performance as Harold Cutting and Herbie Douglas provided laughs. State adopts fixed salaries for heads under new code
The Administrative Code effective Jan 1 keeps current heads and clerks in major departments until reorganization. Trustees of abolished commissions retire year end. New salaries set for Jan 1 appointees: Runnels 4500, Tobey 5000, Holley 4500, Harvey 2500, Owen 4000, Crie 3000. Mileage rate fixed at 7c per mile, replacing 10c for first 5000 miles.
