Sprague Re elected Head of Topsham Fair
George A. Sprague of Topsham was reelected president of the Sagadahoc Agricultural and Horticultural Society at its annual meeting held last Monday. Other officers renewed included Secretary Samuel Woodward of Brunswick Treasurer Walter Williams of Topsham and committee members Parker Adams Harold Ward L. T. Skelton and Guy Patterson to replace Fred Larock as horse department superintendent. The treasurer reported cash on hand and a net loss of 2785.62 after the 1943 year. Rain ruined August horse races causing a financial loss and no fair was held in October due to war conditions.
