Bath City Hall Bell a Thread Through Time and Change
The Bath bell cast in 1802 by Paul Revere and Son marks centuries of civic life, from sunrise shipyards to sunset labor bells. Janitor Gilmore notes wear on the bell’s clapper grooves, and disputes whether to refinish or alter its tone. Local sentiment opposes abandoning the bell and curfew traditions.
