Webber, works as a fireman at Bath Iron Works. Genthner is daughter of Lester C. Sr of Waldoboro. The Hyde camp couple plan to live on Washington Street. Newlyweds wear felt hats trimmed with fur tails as a noted fashion.
Weather did not deter county residents as Sagadahoc probate court met in Bath for the December term. Judge James S. Lowell approved petitions for probate, guardianships, tax inheritances, and dispositions including estates of Melver, North, Lancaster, Mussenden, Mallet, Williams, Webber Scribner, Nash, Spaulding, Povich, Leonard, Brown, Cromwell, and others with executors guardians and administratrices named.
Nellie Averill 51 wife of Scott C. Averill of Wiscasset died early Wednesday at City Hospital after Saturday surgery. Funeral at 1 p m Friday at the family home in Wiscasset. Born in Wiscasset daughter of Thomas and Katherine Aines Jackson she belonged to Daughters of Daniel Webster Council 45 and Wiscasset Episcopal Church. Survived by three sisters Mrs John A Merry Mrs Emery Pendleton and Mrs Byron Maher all of Wiscasset.
The Central Church League reports its Christmas sale in the chapel brought in 453.48 dollars. The event featured décor with evergreens and wreaths and included numerous tables led by volunteers for aprons fancy dolls books cooked foods greens candy mystery silver polish and refreshments.
Miss Edith McPhee, 25, a waitress from Union Station, died after being found at the foot of an elevator well in Worcester. Thelma Brown, a Bath native in training, was in care at City hospital as investigators ponder whether the death was accidental or foul play.
