Good Will Club Hosts Doll Exhibition by Mrs Kinney
Mrs. Charles L Kinney of Beacon street entertained about 40 Good Will club members and friends of Woolwich Thursday evening with a talk on her doll collection. The collection numbers over 300 dolls ranging from an inch and a half to life size, with many antique pieces and special dolls tied to famous figures. A buffet luncheon followed the program and a gift was presented in appreciation for the delightful evening.

Bath plans festive Christmas lighting in business district
Bath merchants back a holiday lighting plan with Lions and Rotary serving as fund collectors for about 300 dollars. The city may place a lighted Christmas tree at city hall plaza and broadcast carols with the Bath Recreation Center. Home decorations expected to be brighter this year. Snowy highways cause numerous auto troubles and injuries
A northeast storm hit Bath causing at least five inches of snow and multiple automobile collisions with minor damages. One man, Frank Johnson, 26, was injured but not seriously, after being struck near Oakhurst Dairy as a car swerved on a slippery Center street hill. Police reported about 15 minor crashes by Friday noon and the city deployed more patrols and plows. Center street and Washington street signals were altered to caution motorists. Center street and Front street hills froze, delaying traffic as trucks stalled. The Highway department plowed through the night with four plows, spreading sand and salt that rapidly washed away as snowfall continued. Children walking on the roads added danger, while Bath Iron Works crews prepared for snow removal. Rail travel faced delays from west, but local service remained largely normal. John L. Sanborn, an electrician at K Station, left for Bermuda for government work, with wife and children to follow once housing is available.
