Ralph C Whitehouse, 50, traffic manager at Hyde Windlass Co., died at home 80 High Street after a two day illness. Born in Bath to Enos and Mary Whitehouse, he grew with the firm since age 14 and rose through duties. Survived by wife, son Stanley W. Whitehouse of Bath, and brothers Edward T of Bath and Charles of Auburn. Funeral Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at his home.
Miss Alice M. Bird, R N at Gardiner General Hospital, left Augusta Airport for a month’s vacation in Greybull Wyoming visiting her parents. Bird, who trained at Gardiner after arriving from Wyoming in 1931, has flown several times but this is her first long air journey.
The owner and longtime cat fancier reports eight kittens born to a Hackett's Mills cat. All eight are described as normal size, a rare and notable litter in her experience.
