Howard's Elephant May Yet Be Returned
Norman Howard reports his life size elephant Jumbo stolen from beside the Bath Brunswick road. A Sanford sighting last week says the elephant, painted bright red and sticky, was loaded on a truck and leaving town. A South End resident identified it despite the new paint and Howard sought police action in Sanford. If not detained, the beast may head toward New Hampshire.
