Androscoggin and Sagadahoc county Farm Bureau and grange members toured farms near West Bath. They viewed Guernsey cattle at Llewellyn D. Rogers and alfalfa and poultry at Earle C. Donnell and Rose family holdings. Edna Higgins Oak Hill Poultry Ranch showed 1400 White Leghorn hens. Lunch at New Meadows river, then talks on child care, clothing, posture, and dairy farming costs and pasture rotation led by county agents and specialists. Attendance surpassed last year with over 80 cars.

Handtubs contend at State Master with Bath victory delayed
The State Master event in Skowhegan saw Bath handtubs Senator Baxter and Sagadahock take second and third in Class A, while the Niagara of Brunswick won first with 195 ft ½ in. Sagadahock led the Bath contingent with 181 ft 3½ in. and Bath residents celebrated a strong showing despite missing top honors. The Niagara also swept second class, while Sagadahock pursued the main title amid a Bath turnout of over 150 red jackets and Battery H.
