Wiscasset backs Beck and Associates for high school plan
The Wiscasset School Planning committee chose Melvin W. Beck and Associates of Waterville as consulting architect for preliminary work on a proposed new high school. The panel narrowed five sites to Norton and White-Sherman properties and will begin tests to pick the best site for construction and fields. A site may go to a town vote. Separately, Brownie and Girl Scout fall meetings occurred with a Sept. 29 fly up for several scouts. Community groups and local clubs held events and welcomed new teachers and the new superintendent.
