Proposed Calendar Change Declared Impractical
Harry A Woodward of the New England Sanitarium Melrose Mass told Seventh day Adventist Sabbath worshippers that a proposed world calendar would cause religious confusion and economic hardship. He described the World Calendar Association plan as anti religious and impractical noting 364 day years with blank days and shifting weekly worship days across 1945 to 1948. He cited opposition from Catholic Protestant and Jewish leaders and referenced the League of Nations council rejection and a June 22 1945 Adventist protest resolution.
