Numerous personal visits, family gatherings, and town news across Five Islands include clippings on guests from Kennebunk Lisbon Falls Yarmouth Bath and Melrose with a quilt and rug exhibit at Library hall benefiting the library. Woolwich man announces his daughter Miss Patricia Ann Lorenson wed Henry Aloysius Seeger. The ceremony took place August 3 in the chapel of the First Baptist church in East Greenwich with Rev. Mark C. Ebersole officiating.
Bay Point observers recount robins nesting on the Cahill property and later in a tree as human neighbors watched. The passage lists local visitors and guests at Bay Point cottages, Bath and surrounding homes, with several trips to Bath Iron Works and Bath Memorial Hospital.

Ralph H. Smith 67 of Cheyenne Wyoming former Bath resident died Tuesday night after a one day illness. Born April 7 1890 in Vinalhaven he worked at Bath Iron Works during WWI and later with the U S Post Office in Cheyenne retiring two years ago. He visited Bath and nearby towns frequently. Survived by wife Charlotte a daughter Catherine McMoculler and two grandsons all of Cheyenne. Funeral arrangements by Shumway Funeral Service.
Miss Euda Bertha Smiley died Saturday night at a local nursing home after a long illness. Born in Fairfield February 18 1879 she lived in Waterville in youth and worked for Boothby and Bartlett Insurance Co. in Waterville. She retired to Lewiston then Bath in 1949 to live with niece Mrs Herbert L. Douglas. A summer resident at Ocean Point for over 50 years she is survived by brother 9 M Smiley of Bath, nephew Vaughn T Smiley of Upper Darby PA, niece Mrs Herbert L Douglas of Bath and grandnephew Bruce K Smiley of Upper Darby PA.
Arthur Edward Lemont of Boston and Westport Island died Thursday after admission to Memorial hospital. A Hampton New Brunswick native, he worked in insurance in Boston and remained active in the field. Surviving are daughter Mrs A L Rabin of Brookline and sons Robert and Coleman of Los Angeles. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery Medford. Mr and Mrs Vernon Mitchell returned home from vacation at Cahon cottage Kings Point West Bath.
Ardlynn Frances a 15 year old from Woolwich credited with saving 13 year old Yvon Limonges who fell from a bathing raft. She reached him as a high wave knocked him unconscious and kept him afloat until a lifeguard arrived. He was treated at Webber hospital in Saco and later rested at home.
Ralph Pratt Jr son of Mr and Mrs Ralph Pratt of the State road Bath received a surprise party Monday evening at 94 Academy street hosted by Mrs Vonia Coulter. Nearly 30 guests attended and many gifts along with two birthday cakes and refreshments were served.
Harry W Totman of Bath died Saturday at his home 64 Weeks Street after months of illness. He was born December 23 1873 in Bath to Charles and Jane Colter Totman. A machinist by trade he worked 21 years at Bath Iron Works and later at Hyde Windlass Co. He attended Corliss Street Baptist Church. He is survived by Mrs Walter Adler and one grandson.
