Fire Devastation at Winnegance Destroys Stores

A major fire Monday night in Winnegance destroyed Perry Brothers grocery and grain stores and damaged Scott A Morse’s home. Firefighters from Bath aided with limited hose capacity and residents fought flames through the night, sparing some nearby houses. Losses are estimated at about 2500 for the Perry buildings and 500 for Morse’s house, with partial insurance on the stores.
