At Augusta on Monday the State Highway commission heard Bath residents and Brunswick Bath Highway association members debate relocating Route 1. Henry C Wright supported relocation for a straighter shorter road, while others favored rebuilding the old road with changes and a new Brunswick entrance via Jordan Avenue. The Brunswick Bath group stressed delaying action since the project is not in the current four year program or eligible for the Federal Loan Act.

Spellman Retires From Bangor Postal Service After 24 Years
