The State Highway Commission will advertise next week for bids to build a steel suspension bridge over the Sasanoa River linking the Bluffs at Woolwich with the northwest tip of Arrowsic Island. A Municipal Court arraignment saw Aiison M Eaton Bath charged with assault on Michael Lajoie of Augusta and a second assault on Lucien Morissette of Bath placed on file. Estes and Lajoie tied to a separate charge under officer John Kelliher filed. Norwood Cox of Boston received 100 fine for reckless driving. an intoxication plea led to suspended fine and six months probation. Probation violations by Bothman resulted in a 5 fine and 15 court costs.
Robert Farwell, 17, of South Portland pleaded guilty to breaking and entering by night with intent to commit larceny. Judge Gardiner R. Deering found probable cause and Farwell was held to appear at the October term of Superior Court under $500 collateral. Durmont Stanley, 17, of South Portland faced a similar charge, was arraigned, and continued for Monday with $500 bond.
