About 150 locals watched Auburn Thespians deliver a high spirited performance raising funds for Genesta Chapter 1936 Officers' club. Burglars Try to Break Open Safe at Congress Shirt Co
Thieves gained entry to the Congress Shirt Co factory on Middle Street by a back window Thursday night. The heavy safe dial was battered but the office remained locked when checked Friday morning, suggesting the safe withstood the attempt. An employee had left five and nm dollars in the safe Thursday afternoon. Mr and Mrs James A Bimson and Mrs Frank A Small left Friday for New York to visit Prof George Minard and his wife.

Board seeks city funds to hire school coach for Morse High
The Morse High School board asks the Finance Committee for 2400 dollars for 1936 37 to restore faculty coaching and fund a full time physical education program for boys and girls. Tontine Hotel Fire Remains Brunswick Disaster Memory
The old Tontine hotel at the corner of Maine and School streets burned in 1904 after a kitchen spark and ventilator spread the flames. Guests fled in near zero weather with many stripped of nightwear. Eight fire streams fought the blaze, saving some lives but the building was a total loss.

Bath faces possible forfeit of $5000 bond over sewer project
Justice Edward P. Murray ordered Bath to post a $5000 bond in Gaudet v City of Bath after ruling two sewers on Cottage street and Western avenue were a nuisance. Bath intends action to force bond forfeiture as the city may fail to finish the sewer work by April 24 within the six month period. Andrew Cent and family spent the weekend in Boston.
