Fortnightly Club closes season with dancers and lectures

The Fortnightly Club held its closing session at Music Hall with a business meeting naming officers for 1910-11. Miss Miriam Kimball showcased aesthetic dancing in four epochs, drawing praise for technique and stage presence. Solar Lodge of Masons hosted Past Masters Night with a full house, two new Master Masons, and a banquet, marking a historic first for Bath Masonry.

Sewall House Baths First Post Office

The Sewall house north of High street bridge is Bath’s oldest landmark and once housed the first Bath post office. It traces back to Colonel Dummer Sewall, early revolutionary patriot and postmaster, with the office moving through several buildings and quarters from 1791 to 1858 before settling in its present site.
