Brunswick Naval Air Base Plans its Celebration
Plans mark the first anniversary of the United States Naval Air Station Brunswick in April. Commander John C. Alderman will lead a combined inspection and review with British units under Lieutenant-Commander Kenneth Firth. A blue and gold ceremony, social events for civilian staff, a birthday dinner and dance, broadcasts on WGAN, and decorations in official colors are planned. The eve dance for enlisted personnel and a civilian banquet with 500 attendees will accompany the festivities. The anniversary recalls last year’s opening ceremony led by James V.
