Lions Club To Support Bath School Dental Program
Bath Lions Club will continue funding the dental hygiene project in schools after Board of Education cuts. Miss Dorothy Williams, a Columbia University dental hygienist, has been delivering talks, inspections, and cleanings since December, with 1,200 children already examined and 70 cleanings completed in four buildings. Clam Diggers Face Probation Or Jail In Purity Case
Albert Gray of Phippsburg, inventor and chemist, urged the court to impose the maximum penalty after pleading to illegal clam digging. He received $25 fine and $7.70 costs or 15 days in Kennebec jail. Other diggers were placed on six months probation following leniency recommendations.
