Sagadahoe council of the Knights of Columbus will move its headquarters from the Pierce block to the two floors above Webber's drug store across the way. Carpenters are repairing and altering the new space. A dedication program is expected when the council opens its new hall.
Shuah H McDonald, 85, died suddenly Sunday evening at her daughter Mrs Eugene Foote's home on South Street after a two hour illness with heart trouble. Born in Strong she had lived in Bath 49 years. Surviving are two daughters Mrs Foote and Mrs Nellie Drinkwater of Sawtelle California.
Mr and Mrs Ralph O Dale attended the funeral of Amos J Melvin 1 in Pittston on Saturday. He died suddenly Wednesday after doing chores at the home and sitting in his chair. He had worked in the blacksmith business for many years.
Maine Central railroad is to lay new steel rails from Hardings station through to the car ferry slip. Work begins Thursday and will take some time. Rails have been distributed along the route with hundreds of tons available. The track, which carried little traffic during the war, will be upgraded to provide a premier steel stretch on the Maine Central system.
At a Monday vestry meeting the Wesley Sorority voted to contribute ST5 for current church expenses. They discussed their annual gentlemen's night set for April 26 hosted by Mrs. Lissa Desrborn and Mrs. Mildred Card. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Francis B. Torrey Jr. died Thursday in Portland.

Rody of Herbert C Shea died in Brooklyn New York of apoplexy Thursday. The body was brought to Bath on the midnight train and buried in Oak Grove Sunday. The funeral was at the Shea home on 507th Street Brooklyn. Mrs Shea and daughter Mary attended. Shea had been chief engineer of the steam yacht Ida owned by Charles Martin Chase.
A requiem Mass was conducted at St Marnshire Saturday morning at 8 30 by Rev Nicholas Horan for Mrs James Mulligan. The attendance was very large. Bearers included Eugene Thebean Burke Dougherty and Dain. Burial was in Oak Grove.
Bowdoin students found a burlesque Rowdoin Occident on the last Orient edition under the old board. It lampooned faculty and undergraduates with items on a track meet tie, a three legged race, a campus policeman photo, Debating team victory, and Musial Clubs tours.
March recorded 17 fair days out of 31 with an average daytime temperature near 40 degrees. Snow fell on the 2nd 20th and 21st and the coolest morning was the 1st with six below zero at 6 20. The barometer averaged 29.98 inches, peaking at 30.51 on the 30th, with westerly winds dominating and a wind split showing northwest leading at 33 percent.

Mae Maxine Stover four months died suddenly from croup. Daughter of Floyd and Cornelia Stover of 4ST Washington street. Survived by parents a sister Lilien and a brother Leroy. Funeral Sunday at three at 487 Washington street with Rev Dr Taylor officiating. Buried in Oak Grove.
A two flat dwelling at 15 Libbys Court owned by Mrs Prank W Bishop was damaged by fire early Saturday. The upper flat occupied by Mr and Mrs Thomas Bishop was awakened by smoke. Firefighters confined the blaze to the roof after laying 1000 feet of hose from Middle Street. Mrs Bishop with heart trouble was taken to Maria’s home during the alarm. The incident began at five and ended at 6 30.
