Union services launch with four churches in one outreach
A broad union effort began as Universalist Episcopal Winter Street and First Baptist churches shared an inspiring Sunday. Rev. C Raymond Chappell led the sermon while Rev. S J Willis read Scripture and prayed. Culbert McGay spoke of a righteous vision and Christian brotherhood. A large chorus under Frederick Drake promised strong musical features. Evening service featured the paralytic story and calls for fellowship and Christ first. Sunday schools met jointly in Winter Street, with First Baptist joining for the period. Ash Wednesday service was planned for Wednesday at Winter Street with all churches invited. A prayer and praise service followed Thursday evening with Chappell McGay Willis assisting.
