Pair of Pheasants Seen Near Wiscasset
A motor trip along the Kennebec yielded a remarkable sight as a male and female pheasant wandered openly about two miles beyond Wis casset. The birds showed no fear as a car stopped within 25 feet and observers watched them move toward a farmstead before heading toward the woods. The plumage was bright and they appeared well fed after a hard winter. D Joseph Doyle of Rockland, formerly Bath, attended the Elks bowling league banquet in town. Doyle is with Glenn A Lawrence Co. of Rockland. The Bath firm recently installed a heating system at the cottage North Haven where Col and Mrs Charles A Lindbergh stay when visiting Mrs Dwight Morrow at the Morrow Summer estate.
