Bailey Evening School closes with exercises and exhibits
Bailey Evening School of Industries held closing exercises at Morse High School in Bath. Exhibits covered dressmaking, cooking, home nursing, bookkeeping, shorthand, typewriting, manual arts, marine engineering, and more. Certificates were awarded in homerooms. Miss Marjorie Moore’s art class did not receive certificates. Principal Margaret C. Flaherty welcomed attendees and reflected on the school’s history and contributions.

Upland Game Preserve Plan Faces Uncertainty in Maine
The Sagadahoc Red, Gun and Skeet club hopes to convert 300 acres of North Bath land near Merrymeeting Bay into an upland game sanctuary but a new state park commission and a federal land sale may limit options.
