City council to consider higher assistant assessor pay
Forty years ago in Bath a meeting of the assistant assessors concluded current compensation of 15 dollars for wards two to six and 25 dollars for wards one and seven is insufficient. Local items include shipyard work on the steam yacht Neckan, a bail denial for Martin Costello in a stabbing case, new residents and workers in town, jurors drawn for April court, and social events and arrivals around Bath.
