Lotta McCallum Dies After Short Illness at Home
Lotta McCallum daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald McCallum died at her Batesville home on May 9 1907 after a brief illness. A 6:30 morning service was held at her home conducted by Rev. Thompson and a 7:00 funeral cortege proceeded to Wesley Chapel Lincolnville for final rites. She was born May 9 1876 in Benham Indiana and moved to Batesville sixteen years earlier. Lotta united with the Christian church at Shelby and was known for honesty virtue and sincere faith. Her loss is mourned by parents relatives and a large circle of friends and school children who asked to see her at the door.
