City Council Approves Walnut Street Improvement Plan
The City Hall meeting discussed street upgrades on Walnut Pearl and George streets. A modified Walnut plan credits existing sidewalks and bars future assessments with the city covering resurfacing costs. Tragic Death Of Little Alvin Christian
Little Alvin Christian son of Christian Hermann and wife died suddenly at age 2 years 10 months 16 days after a 24 hour illness. Cause of death was acute intestinal infection. Funeral was held at the parents home at 7 a.m. and burial followed at St. Peter's cemetery in Finks. Neighbors and friends offer sympathy to the bereaved parents.
