George W Krieger Dies After Long Illness At Home Church Service Held
After several months illness, George W Krieger died near the city three miles west of town. He was 63 years old and funeral services were held at St Pauls church with Rev Flants officiating. Burial followed at St Pauls Cemetery. He leaves a wife and four children and other relatives.

Outing of American Furniture Company Workers Aids Group
The American Aid Association annual outing for American Furniture Company and Batesville Casket Company employees and allies drew about 450 people. A parade led by Herman Obermeyer and the Eureka Band ended at the fairgrounds for games, contests, and prizes for long service, largest family, oldest couple, most bite, and various skill events. Winners received watches, clothing, umbrellas, fruit baskets, and other prizes as Mrs. Anna Kurtz and many participants enjoyed a day of friendship and celebration.
