The Pythian Sisters with the K of P band visited St Mark’s cemetery Sunday at 5 30 PM for a decoration service at the grave of departed member Mrs Clara Behlmer. Mrs Wineor spoke, Mrs Mae Moore and Mrs Irma Orto sang two duets, and the K of P band performed. They then returned to the hall and disbanded.

Obituary for John P Baas Born 1851 Died 1912 Indiana
John P Baas was born near Spides Indiana January 22 1851 and died June 14 1912 at Penntown Indiana at age 61 years and 22 days. The funeral was held June 16 1912 at St Johns Church Penntown. He leaves a widow seven children twelve grandchildren and many relatives and friends. John Rudolph and family of Cincinnati and his brothers and sisters from other places gathered at the parents home Shia Place to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the marriage. A couple John had to return to Cincinnati Sunday evening but left his family to attend garden wedding exercises.

Storm damages Batonville factory roof and flooding
A Sunday wind storm felled several trees in Batonville and ripped about forty feet of tin from the northwest corner of the Enter prise factory roof. The roof loss allowed rain to flood upper floors, causing substantial property damage but no injuries.
