The Permanent Building and Loan Assn will hold their annual election on Tuesday June 18 1907 at 6 oclock p m at their office for the purpose of electing nine directors for the ensuing year. Frank WALLMAN Secretary.
Local plea argues extending the Indianapolis and Cincinnati traction line from Greensburg to Batesville then to Madison would boost Batesville economy. Proponents claim more travel to Versailles and county access for factories, a power plant, and broader county integration benefiting Ripley, Greensburg, Versailles, and Oldenburg. Mentions visitors and shops in Batesville and surrounding towns.

Mrs. Susan Coman died at her son in law James Ray’s Batesville residence on Saturday June 8 aged 81 years 5 months and 11 days. Funeral services were held at the home Monday noon conducted by Rev. G W Bowers before the burial in Rossburg. Attendees included relatives from Indianapolis Elwood Connersville and Penntown as well as local residents. Mrs Coman, born in England on December 27 1825, is survived by four children two daughters and one son.

F. Bobland visited Versailles. Fred Reinke Sr. traveled to Indianapolis. M. R. Connelle y went to Versailles on business.
