Lightning Kills Woman in Horton House Fire
During a Monday electrical storm in Horton Indiana Charles Cady's two story home was struck by lightning. Mrs. Cady, age thirty, on the second floor was killed instantly as the bolt burned a blister on her foot and burned the house. Mr Cady suffered burns while fighting the fire. The remains are to be interred Wednesday at ten o'clock.

Reserves Edge Aurora Krebs In Close Park Game
The Batesville Reserves beat Aurora Krebs 5 to 3 at the local ball park Sunday. Terry and Baker pitched well for the visitors and locals, but Batesville capitalized with three runs in the first inning and held on. Errors by Benz and A Nickel helped the Krebs in the third, while clean hitting and timely plays kept the Reserves ahead. Attendance was strong and a rematch is expected later in the season.
